RESPONDENT: When I first came across this site, and list, I may have got a little over excited (: as only one can after many years of research; and experience.

RICHARD: Welcome to The Actual Freedom Trust mailing list ... when the identity (not to be confused with consciousness) inhabiting the flesh and blood body writing these words first had a memorable pure consciousness experience (PCE) in mid-1980 ‘he’ got far more than a little overexcited.

Put briefly: ‘he’ was over the moon about it all as ‘he’ indubitably knew – beyond any doubt whatsoever (not just beyond reasonable doubt) – that this which is nowadays known as an actual freedom from the human condition was what ‘he’ had been looking for all ‘his’ life (whilst looking for the right political system, the right cultural philosophy, the right livelihood ideology, the right lifetime spouse, the right lifestyle location, and so on and so forth) even though ‘he’ had not been aware that it was what ‘he’ had indeed been looking for.

RESPONDENT: At last, I thought, something new; something that goes beyond ‘enlightenment’ that I was having doubts about anyway. It seemed to me Actual Freedom is a natural evolution of my journey. It is early days yet but so-far I have not come across anything to change my mind and the concepts I have tried, as much as my understanding of them go, have yielded promising results.

So, having got over my initial enthusiasm and await the arrival of ‘Richard’s Journal’ to investigate further; I naturally start to question to deepen my understanding. Reading the post about the Mayans and Indians reminded me of the late Dr Julian Janes, of Princeton University, opus on the ‘theory’ of the Bicameral Mind. Basically, Dr Janes postulates that until about three thousand years ago essentially everyone was unconscious (not unaware) did not have any concept of ‘I’ or ‘me’, and were directed by the (blind) nature evolved bicameral mind (two-chambered).

RICHARD: Whereas the reality of being ‘I’ or ‘me’ has its roots deep within the affective system (‘I’ am ‘my’ feelings and ‘my’ feelings are ‘me’).

RESPONDENT: The ‘voice of God’, was hallucinated from the right hemisphere of the brain (the god side) to the left (man side), which had to be obeyed.

RICHARD: Whereas the reality of being god/ goddess has its roots deep within the affective system (‘me’ at the core of ‘my’ being ... which is ‘being’ itself) .

RESPONDENT: What I would like to know, bearing in mind I am still learning and haven’t come to any concrete conclusions, if anyone sees any similarities with Actual Freedom?

RICHARD: No, none at all.

RESPONDENT: Or does it help to explain some of the Actual Freedom concepts?

RICHARD: No, none whatsoever.

RESPONDENT: If I do come to the conclusion Actual Freedom is not for me then I will move on. I don’t really understand arguing if something is right or wrong, or slagging Richard off ...

RICHARD: In which case you obviously have neither a philosophy/ spirituality to promote/ uphold nor a juvenile/ adolescent mentality.

RESPONDENT: ... life is just too short to be stuck in meaningless debate, unless the purpose is to further one’s understanding.

RICHARD: My experience has shown that argumentation and disputation lead nowhere constructive ... for instance:

• [Richard]: ‘In my first week of having my Web-Page up and running someone wrote in ‘questioning’ what I had to say. The writer quickly turned it into a debate and ‘questioned’ me as to my statement ‘I have no desire to argue’. So I wrote back: ‘I said that I have no desire to argue ... and I still have no desire to do so. But you seem bent upon having an argument, so I am obliging you. We can stop it at any time you wish and have a meaningful and fruitful discussion ... if you want it. I have no desire to argue for my experience has shown me that argumentation and disputation lead nowhere constructive ... as this current spate of correspondence betwixt you and me is amply demonstrating. But ‘having no desire to do so’ does not mean that I will not. It just means that I would prefer not to. The English language is quite clear and specific, when one gets into the subtleties of it’.

RESPONDENT: Believe me, life is far too short, and precarious, for this.

RICHARD: When someone – anyone – chooses to spend their most irreplaceable asset writing to me they are actively demonstrating (else why spend that time subscribing and typing it all out) that it is something they care about as those who are indifferent just pass on by to another web page.

The Third Alternative

(Peace On Earth In This Life Time As This Flesh And Blood Body)

Here is an actual freedom from the Human Condition, surpassing Spiritual Enlightenment and any other Altered State Of Consciousness, and challenging all philosophy, psychiatry, metaphysics (including quantum physics with its mystic cosmogony), anthropology, sociology ... and any religion along with its paranormal theology. Discarding all of the beliefs that have held humankind in thralldom for aeons, the way has now been discovered that cuts through the ‘Tried and True’ and enables anyone to be, for the first time, a fully free and autonomous individual living in utter peace and tranquillity, beholden to no-one.
