The very recent discovery that it is possible to live in a ‘self’-less pure consciousness experience, 24 hrs. a day, every day

21.12.2001

PETER: Hi,

RESPONDENT: First of all, thanks for the enthusiasm that your pages manage to convey – alternatives ARE needed, indeed.

PETER: Yep. I spent the first years of my adult life tying to find happiness and contentment in the real world and eventually discovered there was none to be had. Then I discovered Eastern spiritualism and eventually discovered the only way to find happiness and contentment was to retreat ‘inside’ – to move even further away from being here in the actual world of people, things and events. But now there is an alternative available to grim materialism and other-worldly spiritualism and it involves removing all of the impediments that prevent one from being happy and harmless, in the world-as-it-is, with people-as-they-are.

Prof. A. DEIKMAN: One quick question, please:

While somewhat familiar with a psychological and psychic alien ‘self,’ I’m quite curious about the ‘very recent discovery’ aspect you mention. You mean, sort of scientifically? And anyway, where can I find more on that?

PETER: The psychological and psychic ‘self’ is ‘who’ you think and feel you are. Most people accept their lot in life and are not at all concerned with examining how and why they tick whilst yet others seek solace in religious beliefs or pursue the Self-aggrandizement offered in Eastern spiritualism. I don’t know from where you are quoting the ‘very recent discovery’ but I can only presume it is a reference to the very recent discovery that it is possible to live in a ‘self’-less pure consciousness experience, 24 hrs. a day, every day.

I assume you have visited the Actual Freedom web-site and, if so, you will find ample information about this discovery and how you can do it for yourself. The method to become free of malice and sorrow is explained in down-to-earth terms, copious correspondence on many related topics are catalogued for reference and a mailing list is also available – in short, you will find all you need to become actually free from malice and sorrow on the Actual Freedom Trust web-site.

Nice to hear from you and good luck with your curiosity – being curious is an excellent start to becoming free from the shackles of grim reality and from the nonsense of believing in a Greater Reality.
