Fear of Death, stepping out of the real world into this actual world

14.7.2009

VINEETO: Hi No. 22,

RESPONDENT: Hi Vineeto, I am going into the matter without any formalities...

For the last 2 days I have been under the spell of strong feelings of insult, insecurity, anger, etc., because of an incident (she insulted me?) with my assistant at work. Unable to bear the burden of the effects of the above-mentioned feelings I started up going through the actual freedom literature.

I came across this link (Vineeto Selected Writings, Investigate Feelings). I wrote down the event-reaction-belief-identity chain on paper as described in the above link and ended up with FEAR OF DEATH.

My question is what to do now? Can one get rid of the fear of death consciously/ willingly? How? I feel better that at least I found the bottom-line, but I am insecure that I will go through the spiral again if triggered in future.

Thanks very much for your time and patience. Eagerly waiting.

VINEETO: This is excellent. If you really know this, and know this experientially, then there is no reason to ever get upset with or about your work assistant or anybody else for that matter.

You have discovered the core of all feelings – ‘me’ at the core of my being.

The next (and last) step is described on Richard’s Poster –

Step Out Of The Real World Into This Actual World

And Leave ‘Yourself’ Behind Where ‘You’ Belong. (Richard Articles, Poster)

To explain – investigating feelings is not an end to itself. It is only a means to see the silliness of wasting this precious moment with aggravating feelings (generated by the core instinctual passions that all humans are endowed with) and to step out of those feelings /decline to nourish those feelings as fast as you possibly can. Instead you encourage and enjoy the felicitous feelings and appreciate and enjoy this moment of being alive with ever-increasing wide-eyed wonder.

Cheers Vineeto

PS: Whilst I appreciate that you felt like sharing your finding with me and ask for further advice, I am presently not inclined to conduct private email conversations.
