From Basic Freedom to Full Actual Freedom

Part Three: From ‘Completion’ to Full Actual Freedom

In the early months of this year [2010] I had plenty of opportunity to read Richard’s words describing the outstanding quality of an actual freedom while I was updating the website, replacing all footnotes with the new format of tool-tips, and I became starkly aware of the vast gap of experiencing between his descriptions and my own experience of myself and the world around me. Hence I knew there were still thing to explore after the abdication of the guardian.

Here is what Geoffrey reported after his social identity dissolved forever –

Geoffrey: The first two or three weeks after I came back I got thrown in the midst of social/ family chaos, which was quite the contrast with the perfect peace of the convivium! It was interesting to see how there was still some expectation of social identity authoritatively coming back to take the reins, and handle the situation. A bit like how soon after self-immolation one half-expects feelings to occur in ‘appropriate’ circumstances. But there wasn’t any social identity extant to come ‘saving’ the day with its preconceived mores. As such the situations were eventually resolved for the best, and yet quite in fresh and unexpected ways, which was quite fascinating to behold. In general if there is an adjustment to be had on this ‘social’ front, it has to do with the unexpected level of freedom: as to what to keep on doing, what to stop doing, what level of lip service one is willing to pay in such and such circumstances, etc. All possibilities are open, that were not even conceived of prior. Pure intent the only guide in the midst of this unlimited freedom. (Private conversation, 2 October 2024).

Geoffrey: There was also quite clearly a lot of acclimatisation on the ’social’ level that was required. I kept on stumbling, in various social circumstances, on habits that were justified only by their habitual nature. “Why am I doing this?” was a daily question. The abdication of social identity left scattered habits, naked in their absurdity without the clothing of an identity, to be discovered, evaluated, and abandoned – with an astounding facility. That freedom is really immense. As such it opens the question of where to take it: it convokes Richard’s seminal question “who am I in relation to other people”. That question is completely open, and as such gives no easy answers.

Geoffrey: The ‘social’ acclimatisation, although it is still going on daily (as new circumstances reveal hidden habits), is making steady progress. The main absurdities (such as finding myself playing as being some particular sort of person, in relation to other people) have been discarded. This particular freedom does not appear with the burden of choice anymore, but plainly as openness. And as such it is a joy of every instant. (Private conversation, 27 December 2024).

One day something happened which allowed me to fully (and permanently) experience the spatial infinitude of the universe. Here is the description of what happened –

“The next significant event happened a week after my completion [the abdication of the guardian]. It began with an eerie sensation in the head as if my brain was being operated on whilst being fully conscious. After about 15 minutes or so there was a sensation as if my brain was being scattered throughout the universe. When I recovered from the experience itself enough to find out what actually happened, I noticed that I had lost my centre of reference (a discovery that left me quite disconcerted for about 2 weeks a week). Richard reported that in the days before he was able to existentially sense me as being close, very close, right in front of his eyes, so to speak, but that after this event he has been no longer able to sense me existentially. The direct result of losing the boundaries of my localized reference during this ‘brain-scattering’ event is that I am permanently apperceptively aware of the infinitude of the universe as infinite space, eternal time and perpetual matter.” Private Correspondence, November 29, 2010

What had brought this event about were intensive interactions with Richard, and amongst other topics, we talked about my perception of localized perception, i.e. my perception being primarily local, referring to being, for instance, three metres from the riverbank, five kilometres from town, on the Eastern seaboard of Australia, and so on. This made me aware that with such limited, i.e. the traditional, means of reference I could not possibly experiencing myself to *be* the infinitude of the universe as infinite space, even though during frequently occurring apperceptive awareness I clearly experienced that this was in fact the case. Eventually the localized perception, which was manifested as a boundary-creating centre of consciousness, could no longer be maintained and burst in this ‘brain-scattering’ event described above.

To explain –

RESPONDENT: Here are a few attributes of universe, as I see them: 1. Universe is the absolute against which all change is perceived.

RICHARD: You are aware, of course, that the universe is as much the building you are sitting in reading these words as it is ‘out there’ in the far reaches of galactic distance?

RESPONDENT: 2. All existence (other than that of universe itself) is relative to universe itself.

RICHARD: What existence ‘other than that of the universe itself’ are you talking about? For example: these pixels on this computer screen are as much the universe as anything else is ... there is no thing that is not the universe.

RESPONDENT: 3. Universe itself is neither born nor it dies.

RICHARD: Yet the universe is constantly arranging and rearranging itself everywhere and everywhen as everything ... that something is born and dies is but a local event (‘local’ as viewed by an observer).

RESPONDENT: 4. All time, past, present, and future is contained in the universe, but universe itself doesn’t have a dimension of it.

RICHARD: As this universe is eternal it is ‘all time’ (be it ‘past, present and future’) ... it is already always this moment in eternal time whenever you go anywhere.

RESPONDENT: 5. Universe neither grows nor shrinks.

RICHARD: Yes, infinitude (infinite space, eternal time, perpetual matter) does not and can not have that characteristic ... there is nothing else other than this universe for it to be able to grow into or to shrink out of.

RESPONDENT: 6. All space is contained in universe, but space is not a dimension of universe.

RICHARD: As this universe is infinite it is ‘all space’ ... it is already always this place in infinite space whenever you go anywhere.

RESPONDENT: 7. All forms are perceived against the backdrop of the universe, but universe itself is formless.

RICHARD: Yet ‘all forms’ are as much the universe as any ‘backdrop’ is: the universe is as much form (matter) as it is time and space ... time and space and matter are seamless. The attribute called ‘formless’ (along with ‘timeless’ and ‘spaceless’) are abstract concepts and have no existence outside of human imagination.

Logic (which depends upon opposites) cannot encompass infinitude.

RESPONDENT: Right?

RICHARD: Shall I put it this way? The stuff of this flesh and blood body is the very stuff of the universe ... the stuff of this flesh and blood body has been virtually everywhere and everything at everywhen. As this flesh and blood body only I am this universe experiencing itself as an apperceptive human being ... as such the universe is stunningly aware of its own infinitude.

Now do you comprehend what ‘absolute’ means in actuality? (Richard, List B, No. 33g, 18 October 2001).

A misunderstanding on the Discuss Actualism Forum elicited additional clarity of its significance – I ceased being “a boundary-creating centre of consciousness who could be sensed existentially.” Viz.:

Milito’s question: I agree with you about pure intent being actually existing and forgive me if I’m not following you but this started with my curiosity surrounding the event where one second Richard could sense Vineeto existentially then the next he couldn’t. That is why the question was posed, what is it he was sensing one instant, then no longer able to sense the next?

Could it be that the abdication of the guardian was the elimination of the last vestiges of any perceivable ‘presence’ in Vineeto? If so, then the question arises: Richard cannot feel vibes. So what is the non-affective content of presence? I dunno I thought it might be the sum total of all the social mores and psittacisms

VINEETO: Here is the text of mine Milito is referring to –

[Vineeto to Srinath]: After the abdication of the guardian I was one day ready to allow myself to *fully (and permanently) experience the spatial infinitude of the universe*. Here is the description of what happened –

Two corrections to Milito’s perception –

It was not that “one second Richard could sense Vineeto existentially then the next he couldn’t”. It was that “Richard reported that in the days before [“I had lost my centre of (spatial) reference”] he was able to existentially sense me as being close, very close, right in front of his eyes, so to speak, but that after this event he has been no longer able to sense me existentially”.

So the ceasing of Richard’s existential sensing of me is directly related to me having “lost my centre of (spatial) reference”, i.e. I was no longer a boundary-creating centre of consciousness who could be sensed existentially.

The second correction to Milito’s question is that this ceasing of existential sensing is *not* related to me having abdicated the guardian as I clearly stated in that email what it related to “the abdication of the guardian” was *not* “the elimination of the last vestiges of any perceivable ‘presence’ in Vineeto”. In fact, after that event of the guardian abdicating I existentially looked around, so to speak, expecting Richard to be where I was (existentially) but he was nowhere to be found. I was on my own. Hence it was clear that I had further to go to reach a full actual freedom.

I am pleased Milito’s question has crystallized this aspect of existential sensing because it has become clear that, when on certain occasions a fully free person is sensing another existentially – be they feeling beings approaching the actual world or newly free persons with a social identity, or even without a social identity as I had been in the few days after the abdication of my guardian – this sensing is always related to the *boundary-creating centre of consciousness* which that person still maintains. Once I had lost this there was nothing available for Richard to existentially sense. (Actualism, Actualvineeto, Milito, 30 March 2024)

To explain –

[Richard:] ... an identity, by its very presence, creates a centre to consciousness – which can be graphically likened to a dot in the centre of a circle – and thus its consciousness is circumscribed, limited, bounded, by the very core of its own ‘being’ (‘me’ at the core of ‘my’ being is ‘being’ itself). SRINATH: Q2 When you say ... ‘I was still not fully free then, and many more things had to happen’ ... can you give me an idea of what things had to happen?

VINEETO: Regarding “the ‘many more things’” I checked what I wrote in November 2010 about this period after the abdication of the guardian –

[Vineeto]: Frequent interactions with Richard quite often resulted in glimpses of a greater depth to an actual freedom and at the time I called them windows into purity. Both Richard and I had noticed that when I described how I experienced myself, words such as the ‘immaculate purity’ and ‘pristine limpidness’ where not part of my vocabulary and, except for a few occasional glimpses, neither did I mention in my description experiencing the infinitude of this spatially infinite, temporally eternal and perpetually forming and changing universe ... (Vineeto to Srinath 1 January 2019).

Viz.:

RESPONDENT: Exactly, Richard. Eternity neither starts nor ends with our physical appearance here on this verdant, vibrantly alive planet.

RICHARD: This is indeed correct ... eternity is already here now where we humans are living, eh? And because ‘eternity neither starts nor ends with our physical appearance here on this verdant, vibrantly alive planet’ it means that time was already eternally here before I was born and time will be always eternally here after I am dead.

Because, as eternity is already here now it means that time always was and time always will be (‘time always was’ as in ‘no beginning’ and ‘time always will be’ as in ‘no ending’). As time always was and time always will be that means that time always is ... and time always is – eternally – already here now.

And no beginning to time and no ending to time means that there is no way one can be outside of time ... one always is here in time as time always is already here now. And as time and space are inextricably linked (one cannot be here in time without space to be here in now) it means that space always has been and space always will be ... space always is as time always is and space that always is, is space that always is everywhere. And space that always is everywhere is infinite space.

Infinite space means no edges to space. No edges to infinite space being eternally here means that there is no centre to this universe ... thus there is no way to locate oneself anywhere in particular and as one is nowhere in particular one is anywhere at all throughout infinite space and eternal time.

(Because just as one is anywhere at all throughout infinite space because one is nowhere in particular, one is anywhen at all throughout eternal time because one is nowhen in particular).

As space always is here it means infinity is always here and as time always is it means eternity is now and as I know that I am here, I know that I am here now where infinity always is already. And as I know that I am here now, I know that I am here now where eternity always is already.

I am already always here at this place of infinite space which is already always here now at this moment of eternal time ... where are you if you are not already always here and when are you here if you are not already always here now? (Richard, List B, No. 19b, 17 May 1999).

Richard: I primarily base the infinity, eternity and perpetuity (collectively known as infinitude) of the universe on my direct experience of the actual, of course, but that is of little use to another person who is not living in this actual world or not currently having a pure consciousness experience (PCE). Therefore, one initially needs to approach the question rationally – through inductive and/or deductive reasoning – so as to dispel the oh-so-persistent feeling of finiteness, temporariness and transitoriness which the psychological and psychic entity manifests over the actual (the centre in consciousness creates the boundary in awareness) thus producing everyday reality’s spatial, temporal and material finiteness.

Intellectual rationale:

• Space: as a normal person I could not directly experience the actuality of the infinitude ... at age eight or nine I was first made aware of the infinity of space by my father one night whilst gazing at the stars: I could not grasp the concept but could comprehend the existence of infinity when he gave me his version of the Ancient Greek ‘throwing a spear into what’ question regarding the supposed boundary to space (he asked me what lay at the end of the universe ... a brick wall/wire fence/whatever ... if one leans on the brick wall and looks over what would one looking at or into). The actual knowing of this infinity (as opposed to intellectually knowing) lodged itself there and then in me as a demand to be met one day.

• Time: I first became aware of the issue of the eternity of time at about age six or seven via a brief and abortive essay into ‘Sunday School’ Christianity (the nonsensical notion their god started time by creating the universe ex nihilo) which did nothing but shift the question of time’s beginnings onto a timeless deity’s caprice. By age thirteen or fourteen, in high school physics, the notion of the universe arising out of a nothingness (the ‘Big Bang’ theory) that existed before time began did nothing but shift the question of time’s beginnings into a timelessness without properties. Both the spiritualist and materialist ‘answers’ begged of an agnosticism (not knowable) elevated to a high art form of disingenuousness. Time, perforce, had to be eternal.

• Form: the notion of ‘perpetuus mobilis’ (a perpetual motion machine) around about the same time intrigued me enough to turn to astronomical science ... telescopic observation provided the clue in regards to matter and energy being interchangeable and evident in the transformation of nebulae generating stars and stars exploding/imploding into energy as whirling clouds of gas and dust which in turn coalesced into nebulae and so on. The universe was the ultimate ‘perpetual motion machine’!

Experiential disorientation:

• This intellectual knowing provided the basis for experiments in experiential knowing: in my formal study of art at college in my twenties and with the daily practise of art thereafter as a living I experientially became aware of the human tendency toward ... um ... ‘frontal-ness’ (the face, the eyes, the nostrils, the mouth, faces forwards) which defines the typical human viewpoint and determines the classic world-view (forward/backward; up/down; left/right; in/out; top/bottom; front/back). By physically lying on one’s back one is no longer looking ‘up’ into space but ‘out’ into space ... all the while intellectually knowing that people on the opposite point on the globe are looking ‘down’ into space whilst standing and ‘out’ into space whilst laying. Thus ‘out’ into space becomes as nonsensical as ‘up’ or ‘down’ ... and this disorientating of the habitual mindset can be extended to other physical experiments: paying attention – exclusive attention – to this moment in time and this place in space as this form. This experiential attention becomes fascination ... and fascination leads to reflective contemplation. Then – and only then – apperception can occur. (Richard, General Correspondence, Page 09a, 23 May 2000).

So after being able to experiencing and being “nowhere in particular”, the next event was to remove any barriers to experience the ramifications to comprehend experientially temporal infinitude/ eternity – being nowhen in particular.

To explain more fully – 

[Richard]: Infinitude does not just mean endless space and endless time. It means that the planet earth is situated nowhere in particular in space ... which means we are anywhere at all. Similarly, this moment is situated nowhere in particular in time and we are also ‘anywhen’ at all. This means that infinitude is everywhere and anywhere all at once. Thus, any place and any time is whatever one arbitrarily chooses to make it be.

The universe, being unlimited in both space and time, has no opposite. Thus the mind cannot conceptualise infinitude. It has to be lived to be known. One lives it by being here at this place in space and this moment in time as this flesh and blood body only. This is a direct experience of the actuality of infinity and eternity and beats that specious immortality so beloved by the metaphysicians hands down ... for the immediate is the ultimate and the relative is the absolute. ‘I’ can never know infinitude.

I simply meant that 1998 is an arbitrary date plucked out of nowhere for convenience. Also, when scientists state that the planet earth is in the bottom left-hand corner of the galaxy which is somewhere to the top left-hand side of the universe (or wherever) I seriously question their intelligence. We are, as I wrote above, nowhere and ‘nowhen’ in particular ... which is to be anywhere or ‘anywhen’ at all. Infinitude is all over the place and nowhere in particular. It defies logic ... and it is an enormous freedom to live this boundless awareness of being the universe experiencing itself as a sensate reflective human being.

All this while that humans having been attempting to understand the universe logically and intuitively, the universe has been doing its own thing, irregardless of what human think or feel. What one can do, though, is be here at this place in space and this moment in time as this flesh and blood body only and then the universe will be experiencing itself as a sensate reflective human being. This is to experience infinitude as an actuality, rather than thinking out its character or feeling out its nature. (Richard, List B, No. 17, 13 July 1998).

And: 

[Richard]: The infinite character of physical space, coupled with the eternal character of time, produces a here and now infinitude that can be understood experientially by one who is apperceptive. To grasp the character of infinitude with certainty, the reasoning mind must forsake its favoured process of intellectual understanding through logical and/or intuitive imagination and enter into the realm of a pure consciousness experience (apperception). In a PCE – which is where there is no ‘I’ or ‘me’ extant – the essential characteristics of infinitude are transparently obvious, lucidly self-evident, clearly apparent and open to view. It is understood experientially that this physical universe is infinite and eternal. It has no beginning and no ending ... and therefore no middle. There are no edges to this universe, which means that there is no centre, either. We are all coming from nowhere and are not going anywhere for there is nowhere to come from nor anywhere to go to. We are nowhere in particular ... which means we are anywhere at all. In the infinitude of the universe one finds oneself to be already here, and as it is always now, one can not get away from this place in space and this moment in time.

I will say it again this way: By being here now as-this-body one finds that this moment in time has no duration as in now and then – because the immediate is the ultimate – and that this place in space has no distance as in here and there – for the relative is the absolute. I am always here and it is already now. (Richard, List B, No. 22a, 18 August 1998).

It does take a while to wrap one’s mind around the fact that I am nowhere is particular and nowhen in particular. I remember a similar profound disorientation (for a short period of time) after allowing to fully understand and experience the temporal infinitude of the universe. Here is my description of becoming fully free which I sent in a private correspondence about 5 weeks after the event (29 November 2010) –

[Vineeto]: “Since then I experience myself as what I am, not just this physical body but with particular qualities to the experiencing which to my own surprise I called ‘what I always wanted to be/what I have always been’ even though I have never lived it. For an analogy of how I experience what I am at core I have to go into the Greek mythology where people’s imagination had populated nature with nymphs, inherent/chthonic to springs or trees or groves. This experience of myself is very light and playful, as if living naked in the wilderness, utterly on my own and undeniably undefined by either people or events. I described it as being innocence personified. Sensuosity, sensuality and sexuality are as much part of what I am just as sexuality and abundance are happening in nature everywhere. As such I am no different to a tree, a rock, a spring, a mountain or a distant star and can truly say that I am the universe experiencing itself as this flesh and blood body. I am here to play, play in this abundant effervescent universe, innocent for the first time, carefree in gay abandon, forever fulfilled and exquisitely aware each moment again of the magic of both nature and the wonderful intimacy that is possible with another human being. 

Needless to say that I am having the best time of my life … ” (Private correspondence, 29 November 29, 2010).

[Vineeto]: “After many interactions with Richard in regards to moving my process forward the next event on the 19th of October was equally breathtaking – in an analogy to the film Space Odyssey 2001 I likened the experience to flying on a rocket ship into the sun, which luminosity purified the last skerrick of whatever remnants of ‘dust’ had hung around. My head was filled with the universe ablaze with light from infinity to infinity and the pristine purity of this infinite and eternal universe became instantly apparent. I was also distinctly aware that I could indeed find no trace of impurity in me, not even the notion of a private life for myself. This event coincided with/resulted in what Richard refers below as finding my way to the ‘most secret place in the universe’.” Private Correspondence, November 29, 2010

Richard described what happened facilitating this event from his side this way in a private correspondence in October 2010 –

[Richard]: “… the way should be open, now, for the magic wonderland to become permanently apparent to you a lot easier/a lot sooner than before due to another actually free person – and the first female to do so as well – having recently appeared right here at the place where I have been residing, so to speak, on my own since my transitional period came to an end (in June 1995 thirty months or so after having become actually free in 1992) whereupon the peerless purity, of the immaculate perfection the infinitude this universe indubitably is, magically manifested itself.

In short: it took only 9 months for the magic wonderland to become consistently apparent for her.

The way all this came about for her – and the reason why I cut short my travel plans in India and flew on my own to Australia on the 3rd of September – began 6,500 feet up in the Himalayas at Upper Dharamkot, Himachal Pradesh, where Surbhi and I travelled to by hire-car for our honeymoon in a rustic cottage nestled beneath the snow-capped Dhauladhar Range.  A kilometre or so short of arrival a profound event occurred, whilst looking steeply upwards through a deodar-clad gully towering above a hairpin bend in the single-lane mountain road, wherein three major factors became brilliantly revealed and with crystalline clarity ... namely:

1. Being here in these mountains was essentially about me finally being the right person at the right time; when last in the Himalayas, 25 years previously, it was as the wrong person (an enlightened/awakened being) and the wrong time (a quarter of a century too early).

2. The massive sweep of the mighty Himalayas, extending all the way across the northernmost part of the sub-continent, were as if laid out to act as a vast and brilliantly lit stage upon which absolutely all of me would be exposed to anybody with the eyes to see (to whom nothing whatsoever could ever be hidden from view) on the populous plains below.

3. I needed to let somebody into my world – my personal world, where I reside, as distinct from the actual world common to all peoples – so as to have it burst wide open, globally, forevermore (concomitantly obviating any possible factional developments).

[...] On the 12th of September – nine days after my arrival in Australia from India with the specific intent of having this situation move forward to fruition – Vineeto convincingly completed the transition period; in the ensuing 40 days she quite wondrously negotiated her way through the many and various magical mazes, as it were, which abound all throughout that fairytale-like garden until she found what she rather delightfully describes as “the most secret place in the universe” ...  to wit: my personal world.

In short: now that both a male and a female are openly here, fully exposed/nothing hidden, that “gentle energy/harmless energy” you detected as emanating all around me is consummate ... and (existentially) palpable.

One of the newly-free persons almost immediately provided feedback by reporting it as being an irresistibly attractive ambience – an exquisitely intimate ambience – which another person, when attuned, can literally bask in/be bathed by.  A more modest version of this has been borne out by everyday people – shopkeepers, tradesmen, neighbours, and the suchlike – being, behaving and acting in such a way, when in our immediate presence, as to indicate an intimacy not normally experienced among ‘real-world peoples in similar situations.” Private Correspondence, October 22, 2010

[Vineeto]: “As you can see by now, my process deeper into an actual freedom is inextricably intertwined with my specific destiny – being the first female to become actually free and complete – and therefore does not necessarily apply to anyone else. I have reported those 3 significant events above and the one below because each time when I arrived at this new depth of experiencing actual freedom I was fairly certain that this way of experiencing is not just valid for me but is potentially available to anybody with the inclination, character traits, aptitude and intent to venture into it.” Private Correspondence, November 29, 2010

[Vineeto]: “Other times this immanence was of a more expediently potentiating nature that furthered my progress to become fully actually free and nowadays is advancing the progress in my aim to *be* Richard, undifferentiated except bodily.

For instance, when I described to you in my email from 29.10.2010 the experience that I likened to ‘flying on a rocket ship into the sun, which luminosity purified the last skerrick of whatever remnants of 'dust' had hung around’ was one of those occasions where the immanence surrounding Richard had an expediently potentiating effect. Richard told Peter after the event that he had showered me with blessings, an act brought about by his sheer appreciation of my utter openness ‘from the inside’, so to speak, the evening before. It turned out that I was purified of any remnants of power, something which seems to be an issue for everyone who became newly free during the Bangawalbyn period.

One day when I experienced the fullness of the quality of this energy, which I labelled ‘experiencing the source’, I described four outstanding qualities – it is genderless, ageless, shapeless and vast in its depth.” Private Correspondence, 17 February 2011

Richard reported it thisaway –

[Richard]: G’day Rick, [...]

Speaking of Vineeto: I conversed with her just recently, about your upcoming visit, and have ascertained she is also agreeable to meeting with you, provided you would like that to happen of course, when you arrive here.

I would certainly recommend that you do avail yourself of the opportunity as she completed that transitional period I wrote about, in that initial email of mine to this forum which you responded to (and which period took 30+ months for me all those years ago), on the 19th of October last year – thus taking about 9 and ½ months – and has been experiencing the ‘meaning-of-life’ actual freedom ever since⁽⁰¹⁾.

What this means is that, as there is now both a male and a female fully here in this actual world, the completely new consciousness (a totally original way of being conscious) for all humankind to avail themselves of, and which I have been the sole genitor of all this while, is nowadays entirely equitable.

And this is truly marvellous.

Vineeto took efficacious advantage of a serendipitous ‘window-of-opportunity’ opening up in early September last year – upon me being able to make myself accessible on a day-to-day basis, with the specific intent of having the situation move itself forward to fruition, after flying to Australia from India when my travel visa for there was due to expire – whereby she interacted intensively with me over a 40-day period, making herself utterly permeable (her word) along the way, and which culminated in a purifying ‘shower-of-blessings’ (my phrase) that enabled her to be in the exact-same place where I have resided, so to speak, all these years.

Here is the relevant part of what she wrote afterwards:

After many interactions with Richard [after he arrived in Australia from India] in regards to moving my process forward the next event on the 19th of October was equally breathtaking – in an analogy to the film ‘Space Odyssey 2001’ I likened the experience to flying on a rocket ship into the sun, which luminosity purified the last skerrick of whatever remnants of ‘dust’ had hung around. My head was filled with the universe ablaze with light from infinity to infinity and the pristine purity of this infinite and eternal universe became instantly apparent. I was also distinctly aware that I could indeed find no trace of impurity in me ...’.

Here is another description I sent in a private correspondence about 5 weeks after the “breathtaking event” (19th October 2010) –

• [Vineeto]: One more distinct step/ distinct event happened only 5 days ago. Since then I experience myself as what I am, not just this physical body but with particular qualities to the experiencing which to my own surprise I called ‘what I always wanted to be/what I have always been’ even though I have never lived it. For an analogy of how I experience what I am at core I have to go into the Greek mythology where people’s imagination had populated nature with nymphs, inherent/chthonic to springs or trees or groves. This experience of myself is very light and playful, as if living naked in the wilderness, utterly on my own and undeniably undefined by either people or events. I described it as being innocence personified. Sensuosity, sensuality and sexuality are as much part of what I am just as sexuality and abundance are happening in nature everywhere. As such I am no different to a tree, a rock, a spring, a mountain or a distant star and can truly say that I am the universe experiencing itself as this flesh and blood body. I am here to play, play in this abundant effervescent universe, innocent for the first time, carefree in gay abandon, forever fulfilled and exquisitely aware each moment again of the magic of both nature and the wonderful intimacy that is possible with another human being.

There is not much written down about the next events preparing me and leading me further into the mysteries of exploring and experiencing the infinitude of the universes – for instance on 30.11.2010 something happened which Richard and I called the Source Experience. I was able to allow the fundamental characteristic, or nature, of consciousness to fully be revealed and embraced – genderless, formless, ageless and vast. It was truly magnificent. Interestingly enough it was followed by/accompanied with the experience of my own sense of fixed physicality falling apart (including the experience of two bodies, Richard and myself) and since then a perception of physicality in flux ensued. The magic of exploring actual intimacy is truly wondrous.

After many more intense interactions with Richard and wondrous experiences the aimed-for event occurred where Vineeto became the same as Richard (except bodily) on August 28, 2011. Here Richard reported in detail what happened –

On a phone now so no link handy. But Richard was saying how the nature of infinitude is that it is always here and now. Thus to be here now is to be everywhere at once. I’m not sure what to make of this ‘everywhere’. China for example is pretty far away so how can I be in China if I am here? It makes sense that on the way to china I would also be here. But not that everywhere at once includes china right now. This train of thought already seems silly as I’m typing it out but I’m left without an answer. Ah well! Something to reflect on next PCE. RICHARD: G’day Claudiu, You are, presumably, referring to this:

• [Richard]: ‘The actual experience of the infinitude of space and time is to be ‘everywhere all at once’, because all time and all space are right here ... and right now. There is nowhere else but here and no time but now. Anywhere is everywhere and everywhere is anywhere’. (Richard, Audiotaped Dialogues, Infinitude is the Boundlessness).

It is better explained in ‘Richard’s Journal’. Viz.:

• [Richard]: ‘The purity of life emerges from the perfection that wells up constantly due to a vast stillness which is utterly immense in its scope and magnitude. This stillness of infinitude is that something which is precious. It is the life-giving foundation of all that is apparent. This stillness happens as me. This stillness is my essential disposition, for it is the principle character, the intrinsic basis of every thing. It is this universe at its genesis. It is not, as it might commonly be supposed, at the centre of everything ... there is no centre here. This stillness, which is everywhere all at once, is the be all and end all of life itself. Thus if you think of it, initially, as the vast stillness which is ‘everywhere all at once’ (as in, there is no centre to physical infinitude) then, when following a train of thought about the audio-taped dialogue regarding the actual experiencing of that vast stillness – where matter-as-energy is the source of everything apparent (i.e., matter-as-mass) – as being a flesh-and-blood body’s essential disposition it will make more sense.

Incidentally, Vineeto affirmed this experience of being, in essence, that vast stillness in another way, during the period in which she was becoming essentially the same as me (how I have been, on my own, all these years), inasmuch she was able to detect four distinct properties of that ‘everywhere all at once’ matter-as-energy source ... to wit: ageless, genderless, shapeless, and limitless.

Here, in part, is how she wrote about it in an email to another back in February 2011:

• [Vineeto ]: ‘(...) before Richard left for India I experienced this fine energy/ gentle energy surrounding Richard (the word energy used in its general purpose sense) as being bathed in a delicious, delicate and appreciative intimacy, and Pamela reported the same. (...). Presently, I apperceptively experience this fine energy/ gentle energy surrounding Richard on a daily basis. Often I experience it as ambrosial in nature, of a quality that fills me with extraordinary delight and well-being, in a way that it makes every cell in my body hum with fulfilment as if a missing chemical has suddenly been added to each cell’s physical structure. (...). Other times this immanence was of a more expediently potentiating nature that furthered my progress to become fully actually free and nowadays is advancing the progress in my aim to *be* Richard, undifferentiated except bodily. (...). One day when I experienced the fullness of the quality of this energy, which I labelled ‘experiencing the source’, I described four outstanding qualities – it is genderless, ageless, shapeless and vast in its depth ...’.(Sunday, February 20, 2011 5:24 PM).

Thus, whenever we interacted intensively over the months after writing that, she inexorably came ever-closer to experiencing herself as each of those four distinct properties, one after the other, until only the last one – being limitless as an actuality – remained unconsummated.

And that is what took place between 3:30 and 4:00 AM, on the 28th August, 2011, which I wrote to you about in February last year on this forum. Viz.:

Then, at the moment she became essentially the same as me (how I have been, on my own, all these years) there was a tremendous upwards surge of that energetic immanence, in and around my head and shoulders region, of such a potency, of such a strength, as would previously (on some occasion) render me utterly passive, completely immobile, and scarcely able to bear with it, to contain its immensity.

On this occasion, however, it was able to flow freely – it was as if a circuit had been formed betwixt the two of us – and a second, equally potent, surge of that existential immanence followed the first (again in an upwardly direction in and around my head and shoulders region) a short while later.

Regarding that reference to a circuit having been formed, I am reminded of first being shown, as a child in High School, how a magnet produces a magnetic field by holding a sheet of paper over it and sprinkling iron-filings upon its surface; as there is a potent field now operating it is as if the two of us, a male and a female, are the ‘north’ and ‘south’ poles of a magnet; alternatively, the effect could perhaps be likened to the ‘anode’ and ‘cathode’ of a battery generating an electric current (and thus producing an electric field) when a circuit is completed. Interestingly enough, nerve impulses, more technically called ‘action potentials’, occur in several types of animal cells, called excitable cells, which include neurons, muscles cells and endocrine cells. In neurons they play a central role in cell-to-cell communication. Nearly all these cells function as batteries in the sense that they maintain a voltage difference between the interior and the exterior of the cell, with the interior being the negative pole of the battery. The voltage of a cell is measured in thousands of a volt (milli-volts). A typical voltage is approximately 1/15th of a volt (70 mV). Because cells are so small, voltages of this magnitude give rise to very strong electric forces within the cell membrane. (based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_potential).

Also, speaking of ‘matter-as-energy’, a ‘magnetic field’, an ‘electric current’, and ‘very strong electric forces within the cell membrane’ (aka ‘action potentials’) I am reminded of having written the following brief note back in 2004:

CLAUDIU: Which ‘enabling/ facilitating feature’ are you referring to?

RICHARD: I am referring to that feature peculiar to being the genitor of the completely new consciousness (a totally original way of being conscious) for all humankind to avail themselves of ... to wit: the magical prodigy which became known as ‘the quickening’.

CLAUDIU: Is that to say that ‘the quickening’ is something that has only happened, and will only ever happen, to the genitor of the completely new consciousness?

RICHARD: Purely by virtue of being the first male to become actually free from the human condition it comes with the territory, so to speak, that there be a way of enabling/ facilitating access to the completely new consciousness (a totally original way of being conscious) for all humankind to avail themselves of.

CLAUDIU: What prevents it from happening to Vineeto, for example?

RICHARD: Given that she is the first female to become actually free from the human condition there is, of course, nothing to prevent it from happening to Vineeto.

Be that as it may be: those potent surges were of such a magnitude that a rather remarkable man on another continent experienced what he had earlier reported as being a ‘gentle energy’ (which he had further described, then, as being ‘totally harmless’) pouring into him, transfixing him in a sort of immobility (not of the body) and overwhelming him to such an extent that he communicated with me four days later, via email, and we were able to establish, with all due care taken in respect to time-zone differences, that the two events were congruent.

From Richard’s notes: One of the things which was lost was the “impression-forming” activity which happens betwixt perception & experiencing (plus any self-connoting “former” which persists after becoming newly free); consequently Vineeto said: “I don’t even know you.”

The quality of this basis-for-common-consciousness is very light, crystalline clear, very fine ... with an elation.

CLAUDIU: I am still curious how ‘the quickening’ differs from a ‘blissful’/ ‘euphoric’ altered state of consciousness/ state of ‘being’.

RICHARD: Well, just for starters it is, of course, entirely non-affective. (Richard, List D, Claudiu, 9 February 2012).

RICK: Richard, is there thus a non-psychic, physical, invisible or visible, actual energetic circuit, current, or connection between physical bodies that can affect other bodies from distances of up to several, several miles?

RICHARD: G’day Rick, I will answer the latter part of your query first (about distances up to several miles) by providing the relevant section of a private email I wrote in October last year. Viz.:

• [Richard]: ‘(...) This morning whilst interacting with Peter it [the quickening] was happening for about an hour and a half, between 10:45 and 12:15 PM, to quite a marked degree ... to such a marked degree, in fact, that at its peak Vineeto happened to experience it, at 11:28 AM, as she was getting into her parked car in a town about 35 kilometres away. She described it as a ‘sweetness’ (and thus took note of the time)’. (Monday the 17th October, 2011 8:31 PM).

As to what the nature is, of this way of enabling/ facilitating access to the completely new consciousness – a totally original way of flesh-and-blood bodies being conscious – for all humankind to avail themselves of, it (of course) is purely physical in nature.

And, as this topic of the nature of bodily energy has been canvassed before, many times, on The Actual Freedom Trust website I will draw attention to that fact by providing a relevant quote. Viz.:

• [Co-Respondent]: ‘... some of your body processes are cellular, some are molecular and some are electric.

• [Richard]: ‘This flesh and blood body is part cellular (matter as mass) and part electric (matter as energy) ... a ‘molecule’, just like an ‘atom’, is a mathematical model.

So, where I have just now written, above, that ‘the quickening’ (of course) is purely physical in nature I am clearly meaning the word physical in the sense that matter can be either mass (as in my ‘matter as mass’ words in that quote) or energy (as in my ‘matter as energy’ words in that quote).

Furthermore, where I wrote to Respondent No. 25 about how ‘a tremendous surge of calorific energy travelled from the lower solar-plexus’ on the 16th of November 2009, when what became known as ‘the quickening’ first manifested, I am clearly meaning ‘calorific energy’ in the sense of what is unambiguously conveyed in that ‘the constituents out of which the energy of this flesh and blood body is made are the carrots and lettuce and milk and cheese, and whatever else is consumed, in conjunction with the air breathed and the water drunk and the sunlight absorbed’ response of mine, in that above quote, to the specific question as to what the nature of the electrical energy of this flesh-and-blood body typing these words is.

Therefore, just because No. 25 has decided to arbitrarily declare to all and sundry, after having read the words ‘calorific energy’ in that report/ description/ explanation I volunteered for his elucidation, in my response to the interest he evinced in regards to what happened in the period after the death of my second wife (de jure), that my current writings are [quote] ‘just as ‘metaphysical’ as what one finds on the New Age bookshelves’ [endquote] says nothing at all about me but, rather, a whole lot about him and his obvious lack of reading what is freely available on The Actual Freedom Trust website ... and, of course, a whole lot more about that interest he (purportedly) evinced.

RICK: If not, why or how was it that your body was tremendously energetically affected by what Vineeto was going through. And why or how was it that another body’s experiencing on another continent could be affected by all this?

RICHARD: As simply as possible: human consciousness – as in, flesh-and-blood bodies being conscious (the suffix ‘-ness’ forms a noun expressing a state or condition), or sentient – is common to all human beings.

RICK: If so, do you have any guess (or perhaps certain knowledge) through what physical medium or physical way or how it is physically this energetic connection is able to be made?

RICHARD: As simply as possible: common consciousness (aka sentience).

RICK: Also, would you say that ‘the quickening’, as an experience, is a marked improvement or upgrade of your experience immediately prior to the quickening?

RICHARD: No, it is a facility or a way of enabling access to the completely new consciousness (a totally original way of flesh-and-blood bodies being conscious) for all humankind to avail themselves of.

In other words, the quality of being actually free from the human condition has not changed; what is experienced in a PCE is, in effect, what is experienced upon an actual freedom from the human condition.

Having said that it is, of course, an exquisite experience to be interacting intimately with a fellow human being – a daring pioneer – at their pivotal moment/their definitive experience of becoming (newly) free of the instinctual passions/the feeling-being formed thereof.

Just consider, for a moment, how in that very instant the root cause of all the wars and murders and rapes and tortures and domestic violence and child abuse and suicides, and the such-like, vanishes forever, irrevocably, and then some notion of that exquisiteness may be gauged.

RICK: And, as you say it is still changing (going from having a golden hue effect to crystalline, more full body and finer quality) do you have any idea when all this will come to fruition, and what perhaps that fruit will look like and taste like?

RICHARD: The change you refer to is the outcome of the completely new consciousness (a totally original way of flesh-and-blood bodies being conscious), for all humankind to avail themselves of, having recently become equitable. (See the last two paragraphs, plus the footnote, in Message No. 10xxx for some detail).

I will say it again for emphasis: the quality of being actually free from the human condition has not changed.

As for when all this will come to fruition: as I have been mostly wrong when it comes to timing, I am reluctant to make estimates; nevertheless I am currently optimistic about the present situation moving itself forward sooner rather than later.

As for what the fruit will look like and taste like: as the likelihood of global peace and harmony, in my lifetime, as well as more and more instances of individual peace-on-earth, became markedly increased due to the epoch-changing events of late 2009/early 2010, then the fruit will look like and taste like whatever such a scenario means to you.

RICK: Has the quickening been operating 24/7 since late 2009/2010, or has there been some interruptions in between ... and what might account for those interruptions, if any occurred?

RICHARD: It operated noticeably from November 2009 through to early February 2010 – all during the epoch-changing events of late 2009/early 2010 – and diminished considerably thereafter; it vanished completely around 10 days after arriving in India in late March 2010 (whilst in Chennai Airport, actually, during a telephone conversation whereupon I gradually slid down the large internal pillar I was leaning back against until subsiding on the floor in utter exhaustion); the next three months were a period I refer to as being ‘existentially exhausted’ (the epoch-changing events having taken an enormous toll on my resources) wherein I was nursed back to health by a very caring woman (two successive bouts of ‘Delhi Belly’ early in this period left me physically depleted as well); this ‘existential exhaustion’ reached its nadir on the 4th of July near a small village called Theog in the Himalayas (where my condition had become similar to many aspects of my 30+ months period); at 11:30 PM that night, in the bathroom of a hotel room in Simla, this ‘existential exhaustion’ came to an abrupt end and I was back to my normal condition (albeit ‘bigger and better than ever’ as I described it at the time); by the time I arrived in Australia, in early September as my travel visa expired, my physical health was back to near-normal (a medical check-up shortly after arrival gave a clean bill of health bar a border-line iron deficiency) and, existentially, I was firing on all sixteen cylinders; the period from then through to the significant existential event of the 28th of August, 2011, already referred in my email you responded to (much further above) was taken-up almost entirely by having the then-current situation move itself forward; it was in the 10-day period between that event and the 7th of October that the finer, crystalline ‘quickening’ had its genesis; since then it has been noticeable mainly as appropriate to the situation and circumstances.

And, speaking of it being ‘appropriate to the situation and circumstances’, I will again make it clear, up-front, that there is no guarantee being made – be it either expressed or implied – other than to say that, when the conditions are ripe, magic happens.

RICK: Also, will those males and females who become and have become actually free after yourself and Vineeto ‘miss out’ (so to speak) on ‘the quickening’ experience?

RICHARD: As far as can be ascertained all what is required is both a male and a female (and that is purely for reasons of the new consciousness being equitable).

Incidentally, there is nothing to be ‘missing out’ on – other than having all your private and confidential details made public (such as to jeopardise your personal security and physical safety) that is – as the quality of being actually free from the human condition has not changed.

RICK: Or is the fundamental quality of experiencing what it is to be actually free from the human condition 100% equitable (in that fundamental sense) to your current experiencing of life?

RICHARD: Perhaps the metaphor of a template might throw some light upon the matter: with both a male and a female being that ‘template’ (so to speak) this new consciousness is now equitable.

Perhaps this is an apt place to state that, not only has the quality of being actually free from the human condition not changed, nobody will become a clone of either Richard (if male) or Vineeto (if female).

For instance, the evidence of the first few pioneers shows that a person’s character, their everyday personality, if you will, remains essentially intact ... just like in a PCE.

RICK: Were you, are you surprised at all by ‘the quickening’ and by the circuit connection formed between yourself and Vineeto when her freedom came to its ultimate consummation?

RICHARD: The first manifestation of ‘the quickening’ (on the 16th of November 2009) took me completely by surprise – totally and absolutely – as there had been no indications, no intimations whatsoever, that anything of that nature would happen; what you read on The Actual Freedom Trust website prior to that (about me being a normal person living a normal life, apart from being sans the entire affective faculty/ identity in toto that is, and having no interest in ‘guru-circuit’ peoples trooping through my front door, and so on and so forth) is precisely in accord with my, then, ongoing experiencing over all those years.

The second manifestation, starting 10-days after Vineeto became essentially the same as me (how I have been, on my own, all these years) did not come as a surprise – nor that significant existential event itself – as some-such outcome as that was our intent. I was very pleased, however, to no longer have to contain that immensity, that energetic immanence, which is of such a potency, of such a strength, as would previously (on some occasion) render me utterly passive, completely immobile and scarcely able to bear with it.

MARTIN: Do other actually free people experience benevolence and benignity on an ongoing basis?

RICHARD: Upon a full actual freedom from the human condition, where one is that very benevolence and benignity personified, it is part-and-parcel of being aware/ of being conscious; with a basic actual freedom – such as my first 30+ months and Vineeto’s first 9+ months – there is that awareness/ that consciousness, of literally being benevolence and benignity, on occasion. One of the handful of daring pioneers living the basic actual freedom, for instance, has expressively referred to such occasions as being “the universe on steroids” (if that conveys something of its magical quality).

MARTIN: Has that replaced the experiences of palpable sweetness?

RICHARD: Upon a full actual freedom ... yes (essentially); living a basic actual freedom ... no.

I say “essentially” as there are occasions, when interacting intensively with fellow residents of Terra Actualis, where a particularly exquisite form of that ambrosial intimacy (sweetness, tenderness, togetherness, gentleness, softness, and so on) – with the nature of being utterly precious and first referred to by Grace as a ‘preciousness’ beyond compare – is most wondrously dynamic. These particularly marvellous occasions, being situational and not developmental, are part-and-parcel of life here in the fairytale-like magical paradise this verdant and azure planet actually is.

MARTIN: Or do temporary experiences of a palpable sweetness still arise (and if so is this in the absence of an ongoing experience of benevolence and benignity)?

RICHARD: This is where inadvertently running those two differing experiences together (with that “but which...” latter half of your second sentence much further above) has confused the issue; these “temporary experiences of a palpable sweetness”, in those Footnote № 5 emails, are specifically about the experiences which those particular feeling-beings had of personified purity and perfection – (i.e., an active pure intent was established per favour the (masculine) personification of that which was previously available/ accessible only in a PCE when identity is in abeyance) – all the while still remaining existent as resident identities.

Hence them having the “palpable sweetness”, the “infinite tenderness” the “being bathed in intimacy” type of experiences – rather than the “over-arching benevolence and benignity” experience of a PCE – as identity is in abeyance, during a PCE, whereas to be naïveté itself is when naïveté is embodied as ‘me’.

It is quite a remarkable state of affairs ... and totally unexpected. (Richard, List D, Martin, 6 July 2015). 

When Richard died he left me with the floodgates wide open of an immense, often overwhelming appreciation. Now is the time to move forward to a full actual freedom. Your acquiescence to the sometimes overwhelming puissance of pure intent is all that is required.

Geoffrey to Claudiu: Something has changed indeed. I noticed it soon after learning the news about Richard’s passing.

I haven’t had enough time to contemplate (busy with family visiting) to put appropriate words on it yet. But I wanted to give you a quick overview on what it looks like on this first day. Expect some corrections later on.

I’d quickly say that it looks like something is different about pure intent or (my experience of) infinitude. Its ‘energy’ was balanced before Richard's passing, somehow ‘quiet’ or peaceful. Getting closer to it required some doing on my part, it was like skying on the flat; not that it was hard to find or remote, it was quietly available but it was unimposing, and the blame for not getting to it was to put on my inertia – validated by a perceived absence of urgency.

Now it’s like something has awaken, I wouldn’t say the ‘energy’ is 'out of balance’ but it’s clearly not ‘balanced’ like it was before, it’s ‘pouring forth’ with much more authority, somehow overflowing… And hiding behind a glass panel, under the comfortable dome of a snowball-like universe, is now seen as not only unsatisfactory, but probably unsustainable.

We’re not on the flat any more. Not going forward might not only require inertia, but active resistance – at least for the time being. Not that I have never been guilty of resistance before, eh.

To put it plainly: there is an opening in my bounded sky, and infinitude is pouring through. It’s both exciting and disquieting.

If I look at it with sincerity, I must say I thought I had time, time to get ‘ready’, time to let go peacefully of whatever humanity I’m still indulging in.

And now it’s like the end times are at my door.

It appears that, as Vineeto is saying in the email you published on the forum⁽*⁾, there is an opportunity in this moment, an immense potential indeed.

This is an eventuous moment – and I deeply appreciate all your responses.

Take the shock and the reminder of mortality and move this affective energy towards even more determination to become actually free now so that Richard’s discovery and evolutionary breakthrough in human consciousness can spread around the globe with each and every one of you being the catalyst for that.

Allow any affective energy of shock or sadness to transform and express itself as a deep and abiding appreciation – for Richard’s discovery and words, for the fact that an actual freedom is available now – and further a deep and abiding appreciation for the purity and perfection that exists everywhere around you, both in the natural world (the Four Affect-Free States of Matter) and in human beings including your own flesh-and-blood body (as a potential, apparent in your and other people’s kindness, brought to the fore by your own deep and ongoing appreciation of each person you come in contact with).

Now is the time, don’t waste the opportunity, there is immense potential in this moment, the energy of appreciation freely available in the pure web of human consciousness (called ‘action potential’) to be tapped into if you only allow it. It may be overwhelming at first but it can melt down any barriers you might still have and … set you free.

It is very strange and quite overwhelming at times – I realized that I am now Richard as well as me because we were so intimate as only two fully actually free people can be, hence I am writing words I would have never written before.
